The short version

This summary is for convenience only. It does not replace the full policy below, which governs.

1. What cookies and similar technologies are

A cookie is a small text file a website asks your browser to store. The browser sends it back on later visits. Similar technologies include session storage, which a page can use to remember something until you close the tab. Cookies are either strictly necessary (no consent needed under the ePrivacy rules) or optional, such as advertising cookies, which we only set with your consent.

This policy is operated by LP Studio, Leon Panjtar s.p., Kamnitnik 17, 4220 Škofja Loka, Slovenia (we, us). How we handle personal data in general is described in our Privacy Policy.

2. What the website stores

NameTypePurposeCategoryLifetime
zh_consentFirst-party cookie (zerohoursystem.com and its subdomains)Remembers whether you clicked "Accept" (1) or "Decline" (0), so we do not ask again and so our server knows whether it may send events to Meta.Strictly necessary180 days
zh_p_<id>Session storage, Get started pageOnly after you accepted and bought: notes that the purchase event for that checkout was already sent, so Meta does not count it twice.Optional (part of your Meta consent)Until you close the tab
zh_fbclidSession storage, websiteKeeps the Meta ad click id from the link you arrived with, for this tab. Stored only after you accept, and sent to us and to Meta only if you join the waitlist.Optional (part of your Meta consent)Until you close the tab
_fbpFirst-party cookie set by the Meta PixelLets Meta recognise your browser to measure ads. Only after "Accept".Optional (marketing)90 days
_fbcFirst-party cookie set by the Meta PixelRecords that you arrived from a Meta ad click. Only after "Accept", and only when you came from an ad.Optional (marketing)90 days

That is the complete list for our own pages. When you load the Meta Pixel, Meta may also set or read cookies on its own domains under its own policies.

3. Meta Pixel and Conversions API (optional, only with your consent)

If you click "Accept", we load the Meta Pixel from Meta Platforms Ireland Ltd. It sends Meta page views and these events: viewing pricing, starting checkout, purchase, confirming your email on the Get started page, downloading the App, joining the beta waitlist and confirming your waitlist email. For starting checkout, purchases and the waitlist our server also sends the event to Meta (Conversions API) with your IP address, browser user agent and the cookies above: for a purchase also the order value and a SHA-256 hash of your email address and country, for the waitlist a SHA-256 hash of your email address, your first name and your waitlist id, so Meta can match it to the ad you saw. We use this only to measure and improve our ads.

If you click "Decline", or your browser sends Global Privacy Control, none of this runs: the Pixel is not loaded and our server sends nothing to Meta. You can withdraw consent any time with "Cookie settings" in the website footer. This stops future tracking; to remove cookies already set, clear them in your browser (section 8).

Meta is a joint controller with us for collecting and sending this data (Art. 26 GDPR). Meta's own processing is described in its Privacy Policy.

4. Stripe Checkout

When you buy, we send you to Stripe Checkout, which runs on Stripe's own domain (checkout.stripe.com). Stripe sets its own cookies there to run the checkout and prevent fraud. Those cookies are controlled by Stripe and described in Stripe's cookie policy.

5. Google Fonts

Our web pages load their typefaces from Google Fonts (Google LLC). Your browser requests the font files from Google, so Google receives your IP address and standard browser headers. According to Google, the Fonts API sets no cookies.

6. The Mac app

The Zero-Hour app for Mac is a native application, not a website, and does not use cookies. It keeps your licence sign-in and your Buffer API key in your Mac's Keychain. What the App sends to our servers is described in the Privacy Policy and MSSA section 9.

7. Browser signals and regional rules

8. How to manage cookies

  1. Cookie settings. Click "Cookie settings" in the website footer to reopen the banner and change your choice.
  2. Browser settings. Every modern browser lets you view, block and delete cookies: Chrome, Safari, Firefox, Edge.
  3. Blocking all cookies does not stop the website or checkout from working, but the banner will appear on each visit because your choice cannot be saved.

9. Changes to this policy

We update this policy when we add, remove or change a cookie or similar technology. The version date at the top shows when it last changed. We will never set a new optional cookie without asking for your consent first.
